Going to NY in a couple of days and didn't want to take all cash. If we take a credit/debit card, how do they exchange the price in dollars to the price in pounds? And will we get charged for transactions?

We are travelling to America. What is the safest/best airline? We thought continental would be good. Also what is the 2nd best, 3rd best etc on quality not necessarily on price. We are coming from Australia for a vacation.

Also, what is a good hotel which is not too expensive (4 of us) to stay at in New York in their summer (July?) which is in a good area of NYC (safe upmarket area.)

Thankyou.

For spring break I want to go road tripping in the U.S. I'm not sure where my friends and I will be going yet, but we would certainly appreciate your general tips on navigating (we dont have GPS), what to take, safety, finding attractions, costs- anything.

Also, tips on avoiding bad experiences on the road trip. We do want to enjoy the whole thing.

Thankx!

I'll be on a business trip to Elizabeth, NJ with 5 team members for about 10 days. Need suggestions for cheap ways to stay, eat and entertain. Job location is litterally next to the new ark airport. I'll consider driving about 15 minutes from it.

good restaurants (for italian, malaysian and thai food) around..mainly just fast food. Has the food quality changed in America? Would you be able to find reasonably priced restaurants in Los Angeles, Boston, Chicago and New York.

Are the supermarkets for food such as fruit and vegetables reasonably prices. For example how much do apples usually sell for per lb? Could you please list prices for everyday ingredients such as bread in most areas of the usa. How much do raspberries cost? In Australia raspberries are pretty expensive. $7US for only a quarter of a lb!

Please help me out. We are wanting to travel to a few different cities in July this year.

I'm looking for a nice neighborhood in any part of phoenix. I know that Chandler, Tempe, Scottsdale, and Gilbert's nice, but what about further out/ North? I don't mind a drive to get a nice, safe, not-so-expensive area. In fact, I love the country so that's not a prob. I've been looking in apartment guides, but get confused on what side of Phoenix is nice. By nice I mean, low crime, not many Hispanics (I'm not trying to racist or anything), and not too expensive (like not $1,000 a month for a 1 bedroom!) Thanks

We are going on a cruise as a family and staying in Orlando one day before and one day after our cruise. We're interested in doing something in Orlando that isn't Disney related. Since we're spending the bulk of our vacation fund on plane tickets and the cruise, we'd like to do something inexpensive or even free. Any suggestions? I figure there must be something non-touristy to do in Orlando for fun. Maybe something the locals would see or do?
Thanks in advance for any suggestion.
