I don't mind a drive to get a nice, safe, not-so-expensive area. In fact, I love the country so that's not a prob. I've been looking in apartment guides, but get confused on what side of Phoenix is nice. By nice I mean, low crime, not many Hispanics (I'm not trying to racist or anything), and not too expensive (like not $1,000 a month for a 1 bedroom!) Thanks

Carefree, Cavecreek and Anthem are all nice but the traffic is really bad if you have to drive north on the 17 freeway. Out west
