I'm looking to move to either downtown or Beaverton so I can have access to the public transportation system. Any suggestions on good apartments with a month-to-month lease?

Ive had the chance 3 times in 2 months to see a friend between Baltimore and Vegas and had openings in my work schedule but airfare was too much so I decided to wait. Where are these $100 deals I hear about? thanks!

I don't know uif it is realistic. I wouldn't look for my own apartment obivously, but would try to find a roommate situation in a safe area of New York. It wouldn't have to be Manhattan, but just somewhere safe and close to subways. Should i try to do this? I have lived in CA my whole life, and it is expensive, but not nearly as expensive as NYC. I just like the culture and the diversity and transportation in NYC. I don;t have a stable place to live now, other than friends at this point. I have looked on craigslist in NYC and there aer a few deals for roommates there. Is it worth moving to NYC and is it realistic I can find somewhere safe and nice for what I get there? I would still need some money for food and tranportation left over too. Be as honest as possible please.

I just moved to Nob Hill and don't have a car to go very far. I am looking for something close (Ikea too far), convenient, with a nice selection fo affordable furniture, and the store must also deliver. I don't want cheap, crappy furniture - nice modern stuff that I don't have to pay an arm and a leg for. Any suggestions?

Recent college graduate looking for work. I'm actually interested in working for Southwest Airlines which is very close to my home. This question regards Southwestern Airlines flight attendants...I'm networking and I'd like to find a way in. It seems that this company is not only very well liked, but it's hard to get one's foot in the door. If anyone could help, that would be great! I applied to the company a few weeks ago and I'm waiting to hear back.

I might be going to DC in December and I was wondering what some fun things to do are. Preferably something cheap or free. (I’d like not to go broke) Also links to these places would help. Oh and things that can be walked to or take the metro to. Thank you so much for any help anyone can give me.

It's called vacationland. I was wondering how many people have been and what you thought of it. If you haven't been what have you heard about it?

Currently I live in Madison Wisconsin. I am thinking of relocating to one of the following areas: Rockridge/Berkeley/Piedmont (or Lake Merritt). I would WORK in San Fran in the I.T. industry, but live in the aforementioned area.

Currenly I make about $38k/year in Madison.
My rent is $500/month for a studio
My car payment is $350/month.
(plus some other small bills and living expenses - cable, internet, etc).

I do really well on this wage in Madison. By the time I relocate to East Bay, my car will be paid off, freeing up the $350/month.

I plan to find a bigger studio apartment in one of these areas and continue working in I.T. in San Fran.

Can someone tell me how the 2 wages would compare, and if I would be able to afford what I am planning to do? Keep in mind that I will have an extra $350/month to spend by the time I'm there.
Is my plan feasible?
