if so, can someone please tell me what there is opposite it? i need to know... say u r stading right in the middle of it, what can u see past the waste?

Fresh Kills used to be NYC's main landfill, and the largest in the world. It's the highest land area in NYC (elevation) and was re-opened for WTC recovery stuff. There are some other dumps there as well.

Is this a riddle lol, the only thing I can think of is they had a landfill they closed I think when Rudy Guliani was mayor. I don't know what you could see standing atop that hill of garbage, maybe the city skyline. I'm wondering now..
