I am sick of so many people rotting away in jail. Watching tv, playing sports, eating food, on taxpayers money. Why do we have to work, while criminals play. Personally, I feel that Convicted murderers, child molesters and rapists should have the option of lethal injection or the electric chair... not the choice of who's on who's team or what they want to eat for dinner. These people are just waste of space, time and money.

I am attracted especially to Oregon because I think the people are probably more environmental. Politics of OR and WA probably are preferable to CA's too I suppose. Any stories?? (I'm an ex-New Yorker)

About 10 people - three kids will attend. Nothing to expensive. Something fun, I am so sick of the same old stuff. This is DC there has got to be something neat! All suggestions welcome!

By the way, it will only be me and DH, no kids.

And we live in Connecticut so it is relatively close, no need to fly.

We have two weeks to spare.

We are in our 30's.

Any good suggestions on what we should not miss there? (If there is anything.....?) I've never been interested in going there because it just seems kind of boring from what I know about it. Please enlighten me, if it is a nice vacation place.

Thanks!
