Venice Beach, as well as all of Los Angeles, is a very cool and laid back place to live.
I run Venice Beach every Sunday. A few weeks ago, I saw a lady sleeping on the sidewalk.

You better have a job before you come to Los Angeles.
If you don't you be just like all of the other losers and stoners that hang out at Venice Beach all day long.

Sounds like your young. If you are dreaming of being a professional victim when you grow up, then yes. Venice Beach is the perfect place to be. There are wonderful opportunities for the naive to be exploited and manipulated. Who knows, if your lucky your pimp may even let you turn tricks under the boardwalk. My advice, stay where you are. There's no place like home

stay where you are...
LA (anywhere in so Cal) is very expensive...
and Venice isn't that great (not very clean, still a lot of crime)
why move here? do you already have a job lined up? If you don't have a driver license, then you probably don't have a job, do you?
Public transportation here sucks.
not to mention there are too many people here , too many illegals, and the prisons are full.

I have a good friend who waits tables at Tre Chic and makes enough to rent a nice place and drive a decent car. So yes it is possible.

you better have a plan B before you make that decision. its like asking to move to times square in new york. speaking english and spanish might also help. tons of homeless people there also. Nice place to visit but...... it is what it is.
