I worked there. You don't actually tour the factory anymore. Just outside Hershey Park is a place called 'Chocolate World'. You can take a ride there that shows you how the candy is made, plus they have a 3D show that is awesome. Entrance to Chocolate World is free, as is the ride. TONS of souvenirs, and then there is the park..............
Hershey is a neat little town, built by a man with a dream. And yes, the streetlights are shaped like kisses, and you can smell the chocolate in the air.

We've visited each of the past 3 years.
We usually hit the park first, then when the sun starts beating down, go for the FREE, AIR CONDITIONED Chocolate Tour ride.
They also give out samples when you leave, which is fun :)
I prefer Hershey Park over any Six Flags or Disney attraction. The lines are VERY short at all but a few rides, there are places you can escape the sun, there is enough to do at every area of the park from the younger kids to the teens.
Sweetest place on earth is right!

Yeah, along with the amusement park makes a fun 1-2 days. You have an opportunity to go on a ride inside the factory along with the shop which is filled with treats. If you have time and/or are interested we had about 5 days in Penn. and did 2 at hershey 1 at gettysburg and 2 in philly. It was a great time.

it's really cool, the best part of it was when you can see them making the Hershey kisses, and then after you take a guided tour, I think you are sitting down, and then they have a person with a basket full of Hershey kisses for you to eat.

It's awesome! They have a ride that you can go through that shows you how the stuff there is made. My friend and I went on it five times in a row, once, and it didn't get boring. The park outside is great, too. But beware, seriously- you gain ten pounds in one day just being there. You do.

Been there and it is very very cool.
They have HUGE chocolate bars for sale, and you can actually see the kisses being made on the conveyer belt. It's really really cool.
I would also recommend visiting the Amusement Park
