Does anyone know of some roads in London (near Leicester Square) where parking is free on a Saturday evening and also where it's not too difficult to find a space? The more roads I have to choose from the better. Many thanks.

I have to go to England, next year, because I have a competition in English, so I will stay there 3 weeks. but I am really scared, because I heard that the british are very strict, and if your english is perfect they would say it's decent. well, is it true? Let's say that I might come to London to work for one year or more.If I need to see a doctor for a flu for instance,what do I have to do?I mean,can I go to a whatever one and ask him/her to see me?Of course I know I have to pay but I just don't know how it works there.
Being from Italy I already know that emergencies are covered by my insurance.But I'm talking about minor problems.
