You do not need a visa. You should register with your embassy when you arrive as a resident alien - they will issue a card.

Being a resident alien (and having the card) will guarantee you the same rights as any UK citizen, notably hassle-free access to the NHS but also voting rights in British and Euro elections.

Bear in mind if you are Romanian or Bulgarian the government is imposing quotas on immigrants from those countries after like twenty times the number of people came from Poland, CR and Hungary than were anticipated.

you don't need anything if your passport is from one of the EU members that have been part of the Union since 1999.
lately some east european country did became members but they still don't have full rights. let's say u have a franch or italian or spanish or so on passport (west european) than u are all set.

In addition to the first answer, Czech, Slovak, Hungarian, Polish and possibly Slovenian citizens can work there as well. I don't think Bulgarian or Romanian citizens can yet.

You don't need anything else if you have an EU passport. Good luck!
