Definitely a fair amount, £600 sounds OK. you didn't pick the cheapest location in the UK, in the UK the prices are double if not more what you in the states would pay. NB cigarettes £5+ for 20 A Pint of Beer anything from £3 upwards. If you stay in Central London be aware and careful your not ripped off especially with Taxi's. (make sure you use the proper Black Hackney Cabs, the drivers all should be registered in the Borough of London, they will have i.d. and their prices are set by the council, anybody else is freelancing and they pretty much can charge what they want.) London Public transport is pretty good and the ticket prices are fixed, as are the Tube (underground) Trains are variable depending on which Network you are using. By the local paper (not a tabloid) for possible coupons, go to the local tourist info Office as well as Most of the tourist attractions do have money off Vouchers if you look for them. Remember if the kids in the UK are on Vacation anything touristy tends to have a price hike. would recommend finding a typical Brit Pub for a meal etc, and check out one of the West End shows. Oh and be prepared for a shock on the price of everything! Compared to Stateside Prices we definitely get the better value for money when we visit the states. Enjoy yourself us Brits can be a unique bunch.

Your in london for more than week i recommend you buy a 7 day travel card (zones 1-2 depending on the sites your going to see but 1&2 covers alot). The weather right now is at an average of 23 degree quite warm i suggest light jackets, umbrella for a bit of rain maybe, and summer clothes. Yeah and this is the time for tourists so it will be pretty crowded. Oh i recommend seeing the the London Eye and Greenwich CuttySark (well the ship burnt down but there are still some amazing buildings).

Depends on how much you want to shop. I went there for a weekend and it was bout 10-15 pounds per meal, but I wasn't as careful as I could've been. Oxford St will cost a lot. I don't remember how much the tube costs but its worth it to get a tube pass.
Covent Garden is one of my fave places there and I got a good meal there for 7 pounds. Just make sure to check for coupons at the hotel.

It all depends on class or luxury. If you eat at fast food joints - not a lot but if you want to really go for it - several hundreds of £ a day!
