I'm from the UK and i will be going abroad in a few weeks. Thing is, i like to straighten my hair with GHD's before i go out and sometimes just for day to day things. I was wondering if it possible to use GHD's abroad using a universal plug. (Im off to spain). because i know that over here we use a 220 voltage and its 110 over there (i think...) any ideas would be fab.. thanks. :)

I have just plain black luggage and I want to make it stand out at the airport. Anyone have any ideas? I was thinking about fabric paint or iron-on patches.

I have heard that you can not take deodorant cans in your case due to them exploding at high altitudes. Is this true.

What should I pack clothes wise? Will it be sundress and shorts weather or more 3/4 length trousers and t-shirts? Also, does it get cold at night - should I be packing jeans and light fleece tops?

I need to know what you think is a reasonable price for a friend with a lrg truck to move my belongings from a 2bdrm, not much furniture 4 blocks from where I live now. I have 4 older sons who would do most of the lifting.

I have boxes 2 ft. high & long & 28 in. wide full of stuff. Will the post office accept this? They didn't tell me the box size limits, but they said the weight has to be less than 70 lbs. & my mom is sitting here yelling @ me like I'm a child about it, telling me they're not going to accept it. & also, how much does that bubble mailing cushion stuff cost?

& she's sitting there mentally abusing me, telling me that I'm going to go there, looking like a fool.

My husband is taking a business trip which will include one week in Sweden. Right now it's about zero degrees Fahrenheit and has scattered snow showers. What type of outerwear and shoes should he have? (We're from California and don't go to the snow much.) Remember, it's for business, and rather formal (no ski jackets).
(1) Shoes - snow boots, then change into dress shoes for meetings, or what?
(2) Coat - wool, all-weather...??
(3) Accessories - type of scarf, gloves... should the hat have ear flaps, etc.??
(4) Anything else?

THANKS!!!

I'm flying for the first time in a few days, and I know that you can only bring 3 ounce bottles of liquids/gels in a quart size ziploc bag in your carry-on, but can you bring any-sized/amount liquids/gels/aerosols in your CHECKED baggage? tsa.org (or whatever the site is) wasn't very clear on it. Thanks! :)

I am flying for the first time and I know there's ALOT of rules and stuff (i know the 3 oz, qt size bag stuff for liquids), but is there anything you suggest to make the flight more comfortable? I've heard gum, eyedrops, and a small pillow. It's 2 two hour flights back to back.
Also, I am going to Colorado (for the first time). I live in the Southeast so I'm not used to very cold weather and SNOW! hah! Anyway, anything you suggest I pack? Please help! :) Thanks!

I am only taking a carry on (not checking) and I have some beauty products that are larger than 3 oz. Can I put them in small unmarked bottles or in plastic bags, or does everything have to be in a store bought bottle? Does the stuff in my purse count toward that pint-sized ziplock bag limit? Does deoderant and toothpaste count? Eyeshadow in a tube? I am only going for 3 days and don't want to buy stuff there.

I’m about to move from the UK to Portugal and I would like to take some of my belongings with me. But I’m afraid that this will cost me a lot so I’m viewing my options to decide if it is in fact the best thing to do or sell them. I really think that the amount I would like to transport, fill a cargo van.

I printed a shipping label and paid for postage online. Do I just hand the box w/ the pre-paid label to the USPS counter people or is there some drop off container in which I can just leave it?

I estimated the weight of my package to be 3 pounds, but it may be more...

Thanks for the help

My wife and her mate are taking all the kids to Disney Paris for the weekend on the Eurostar and the ticket says 20kg max per person luggage allowance. As they are only going for the weekend, she has got all the luggage (her and our 2 kids) in one large case which weighs 23kg. She doesn't want to take 2 cases but she is worried that the single case weight will be too much and she may be turned away at the check-in. Can anyone advise??

Are those quart sized plastic bags for carrying on board (i.e. tooth paste, hand lotion, lip gloss, etc) or are they required for your luggage that goes down to the cargo of the plane? It's been like 7 years since the last time I flew overseas so I'm just asking around.

I'm curious cause sometimes I get these sharp toe nails (corner's usually) out of the blue and they bug me and if I'm allowed to bring one with me I'm able to clip them off without trying to pry them off with a pen or other things plus bleeding and etc. Is there a site that I can find out what I can bring and not bring on board?
