As some of you may know, I am Peruvian. I'm thinking of going to Greece next year, Do I need a visa for that? Most probably I do, if so... how difficult is it to get one? And how long would the paperwork take?

PS. Any suggestions on hotels (not expensive but quite good) in Athens and Thessaloniki?

Hey,
I am wanting to go travelling round Europe with my girlfriend on a gap year and want to know about any really awesome events that we should plan to visit. Anything really- sport, music, film, entertainment. We are especially keen to find things in France, Germany, Holland, Italy and Scandanavia.
If you have been to anything with a great atmosphere, then we would be really happy to get your tips! Thanks.

I heard that in the Netherlands the land is broken up into 3 parts and this determines when schools start and end. Is this true? if so, when are the starting dates? Do the universities start on the same day as the public schools do in that area or are they like some US colleges that start 2-3 weeks before the public/private school? Any other information about the schooling system that you think I might find interesting please add. I am going to college to become a teacher and would love to learn about other culture's schooling.

Hi, where is the best spot to watch the beautiful sunset in Santorini?

I understand that Oia is very popular, therefore can be overcrowded.

So is there any alternative spot which is less crowded?

What are the must see and must do in Santorini? We intend to rent a moped around the island.

Many thanks!

Stay in a hotel, a hostel, or on a campground? After school, my friend and I are going backpacking, and I'm sure we'll be camping, to save money. I'm just curious to what everyone else would do.

That happened today: http://www.turkishdailynews.com.tr/article.php?enewsid=81551

I thought Jews were against the use of the term "genocide" as this would gradually diminish the impact of Jewish genocide. But it seems that this is not the case. Not anymore. I am not quite sure I understand, however, the reasons behind this sudden change in diplomatic terms. Thats why I wanted to post this here.

Perhaps Turkish people have followed the story more closely than I do.

On the other hand, Abraham Foxman, the director of the most powerful Jewish lobby said today (despite their negative stance):

"We continue to firmly believe that a congressional resolution on such matters is a counterproductive diversion and will not foster reconciliation between Turks and Armenians and may put at risk the Turkish Jewish community and the important multilateral relationship between Turkey, Israel and the United States,"

Fine. But then why this sudden change in their position?
