The Greek State (meaning all greek citizens paying taxes), commercial companies, individuals, foreign countries, offered their aid to fire victims, along with their thoughts and prayers.
Where is the aid and support from the richest foundation of Greece, among the duties of which is charity?

I am going on a trip (11 days) with two friends. Itinerary below. We are all in our mid 20s and prefer the seedy to luxury. Obviously, we want to stay safe, but I guess what I'm saying is, a schnitzel at the pub is our kind of meal. How much money should we expect to spend (how much should we take) for the 11 days there? Would it be wise to get it in cash, travelers checks, bring a credit card?

Munich (1 night)
Vienna (2 nights)
Salzburg (1 night)
Berchtesgaden (1 day)
Munich (6 nights)

Thanks.

Soon after the forest fires in your country were controlled, Turkiye sent fire fighting aircrafts and humanitarian aid to Greece. Disasters always prove how close our two nations are and how much we care for each other...

Now that we have someone who married his 15-year-old cousin when he was in his 30's in Cankaya, what do you think will happen to Turkey? If the military will step in, when do you think they will do so? Discuss!

I am not giving country names, group names or YA nicks.

Don't you feel this is a lynching campaign against Turks? And the distinguishing character of any lynching is the crowd's inability to listen to facts and their acting with vulgar sentiment?

How can the "civilized" West accept a lynching campaign? After 600 years, do they still a scape goat to unite them? Do they need a scape goat to help them forget their own crimes against humanity?

What IS the psychological and sociological reason behind this comedy?

Last month in Zakinthos(Kefalonia), a huge fire occured. Lots of people said that it was from the sun. That the sun hit the wires and started a fire. A few believed this but a few days later, on the news, we found the real answer. A man started a fire by the church of the prophet ILIAS. It WASN'T by accident. He said these exact words on the news: " I like starting fires. It's fun." Everyone was so angry on that day to see an area in beautiful Zakinthos too be burnt just because of a stupid person who liked starting fires. I think that the fires which are now occuring in Greece are NOT by accident(if you get what I mean).

My girlfriend and I met this summer working together in a chemistry lab. She was here from Leipzig, working on her Master's degree and is now back in Germany. I just expedited my passport application and hope to travel in the next month. I have never left the country and, although I was nervous and reluctant at first, I'm really excited about it.

I guess I'm asking for things that I should consider while booking my flight, changing my money, packing, and flying. Most of the people that I will spend time with speak decent English, but it would be nice to reciprocate, where can I get a crash course in the German language and maybe pick up some cultural/custom information? I will be spending a week in Leipzig, but plan to visit Berlin for 2 nights. Can anyone suggest things that I should see or do? Are there any dangers that I should be aware of or things that I should take care not to do while traveling or visiting?

Thanks!

while a nation is fighting for it's life some of you are here on Yahoo to sling words at ppl who are in pain over what is going on! you randomly just throw words of discontent of how and what and why they should do things in your fashion!

who are you ,to know so much better what is wrong and what is right? who are you - and I know this for sure - to throw gas on the emotional flame of the Greek ppl all over the world! your comment should be of humanity - good wishes and that you are with them in thought and spirit in such a horrible time! People are facing death and distruction and all you can think of is what you want them to do to make you feel superior! HA - you are obviously not very educated in the humanitarian department - not educated at all on what the Greek spirit is that has influenced the entire world!
I feel actually sorry for you !!!! because all you show is agression with your actions - so no surpeise you will never achive the true meaning of LIFE - who agrees here????

Hubby is going to Russia, possibly as early as Thursday. (For work.)

What can he expect during his travels? (Any airline restrictions into Russia or back out??)

Anything he should be sure to take with him? (Besides water purification tablets. He has them already!!)

Are there any Russian words he should learn?
What is the money conversion rate?

Any true help will be greatly appreciated!

Please keep in mind I want to share this with hubby... so he will want answers to have your source named or linked.

Thanks :)
