I am going on a trip (11 days) with two friends. Itinerary below. We are all in our mid 20s and prefer the seedy to luxury. Obviously, we want to stay safe, but I guess what I'm saying is, a schnitzel at the pub is our kind of meal. How much money should we expect to spend (how much should we take) for the 11 days there? Would it be wise to get it in cash, travelers checks, bring a credit card?

Munich (1 night)
Vienna (2 nights)
Salzburg (1 night)
Berchtesgaden (1 day)
Munich (6 nights)

Thanks.

If you count every penny, you could travel for $100 a day, and still go out for dinner once in a while.
If you can bring $200 a day, so you can stay in hotels, and go out drinking and sight seeing.
Travelers cheques are a thing of the past, just bring your debit card and credit card. Check with your bank how much each use will cost you, should be token money only. If they charge more, ask for a cheaper option, there are some that do not charge for use at all.
Bring a little cash, for the first day so you do not need to find an ATM as soon as you land, but you can also just bring some $ for emergencies and take your money for use out of the wall.

take you atm card and debit card and credit card.
write their numbers on a separate piece of paper.
you don't need travelers checks anymore.
1.45 dollar per euro, bad exchange rate.
It will cost about 1.5 times amount here.
I went to Portugal last year
10-15 euros for good lunch, 15-20 for good dinner.
so about 300-400 euros for meals.
beer was cheaper there. 2-3 euros.
are you young enough for youth hostile?
you could buy a train ticket.
Auf Wiedersehn
