Yes, the fires are in mainland and Zakynthos is an island, you will be fine. have a great holiday.

There is no problem with Zakynthos, the fires are in Peloponnese and in the south part of Evia.
Zakynthos is OK and very beautiful !
Make the travel and enjoy your stay there !

Yes, don't worry, the fires are far from there, besides they are almost over now. The weather will not be so hot from now on and I doubt there will be any more big fires now. Plus Zakynthos is an island, the sea is nearby, I mean if you don't go hiking in the forests there is no problem.

I just traveled from Zakynthos to Athens and it was fine.

Absolutely safe. 100% safe, whatever the news, rumours, and hearsay may otherwise suggest.
Even if the island was on fire, special care is taken by the local authorities for tourists. However, there is no reason to worry at all.
The ever exaggerating Mass Media and personal interests of certain people have blown this whole thing out of proportion.

Fires are already out and controlled.
Enjoy Zante... It is a well known beautifull island in Greece.

Yes its absolutely fine. They have caught the main Arsonists and the hotel would not allow visitors if it was a health risk to you.

as far as I know, there are no fires on Zante, so don´t worry - I will travel there too in Sept. where do you go?
