As some of you may know, I am Peruvian. I'm thinking of going to Greece next year, Do I need a visa for that? Most probably I do, if so... how difficult is it to get one? And how long would the paperwork take?
PS. Any suggestions on hotels (not expensive but quite good) in Athens and Thessaloniki?

Haroula, don't worry. I'm basically not spending over 2000$ to just see his stupid face ( NO WAY ). Actually, my best friend who is Germany is getting married, and since I'll be already around I thought about stopping by Greece, most probably with her too.

Dear Maria Gracia,
Under the Schengen Treaty, visa is a must in order for no Europeans to enter Europe which means that for Germany too, you will also need it .
In order to get the visa a EU citizen has to vouch for you - I'll gladly do it - on a special declaration form that is submitted to your local embassy for visa approval.
So either your friend or I, for that matter, can send the form for you to get it. Taking into consideration the speed of bureaucracy which is less that of a tortoise, and regarding the time you plan to go, you will have to move accordingly.
Don't leave anything for last minute.
As for Haroula's concern, I'm also of the same feeling.
Again, as for hotels in Athens and Thesalloniki you have many offers and furthermore you also have many friends I see, so there will be no problem for those cities.
Should you want to come to Corfu, which infact I will insist to, you are more than welcome into my house, and I will gladly see here both you and your hermana de corazon.
An ardent and warm member of the Greek section like you, should experience the full treatment of Greek philoxenia, and "live your myth" in the best possible way.

in case you have everlasting resident status interior the U. S., you will no longer have a concern applying for a visa interior the direction of the Greek embassy interior the U. S.. besides the shown fact that, i'm uncertain what takes place in case you do not have this status and are in basic terms traveling the U. S.. that could recommend you'll be able to desire to handle the Greek embassy on your place united states (Or it won't!)
