DO I NEED TO GET A TRANSLATED VERSION OF US LICENSE IN ORDER FOR IT TO BE VALID ABROAD?

You need to get an international driving license, which is a second piece of paper that states all needed info in the same way for all countries, you can say it is a translation but it may be in English too, I have never seen one.
You need to use it with your own license.
The car owner clubs, (AAA ?) can get you one, may cost a bit, but it safes a lot of hassle.
In some countries it is obligatory, in others it is just advised.
