I've posted this question in 2 places beccause i dunno where to put it.

A group of friends and I wanted to go out to the city tonight. Our age groups range from 17-21 (yes...idk) and everyone wants to go somewhere we we can get drinks. Are there any cool places in the city that don't check for I.D.s?

I know this kinda is a bad question lol but...

I'm cruising on the Carnival Liberty this New Year's. I'm 17 but will be 18 in January (just under the adult age, I know), and I'm trying to plan what exactly I'm going to do with myself. I pass easily as older than my age, and I'm more mature than most. Should I just take my chances with the more "adult" options or stick to the teen-oriented programs? What would be the advantages of each? I'm caught in the middle here...

I just got back from disney world in orlando for my honeymoon at all four of the major parks there were these little black and orange bugs that looked like they had two heads one on each end, it could have been mating, they looked kind of like lightning bugs any idea as to what these are, i saw them the most on the indy car ride in the magic kingdom

That's funny. I NEVER tip the casino employees and
valet parking here at the riverboats here in Indiana.
Unless I hit my jackpot that I so deserve, I will NEVER tip them, either here in Indiana, or there in vegas if I ever go to Vegas.

I never tip valet, I never tip slot techs, I never tip the waiters and waitresses at their buffets, and I never tip the cocktail waitresses. Unless I hit my well-deserved jackpot, it will be a cold day in hell when I tip them.

I am an American, and had the chance to study in Spain a few years back. I am going to visit for a few weeks after xmas, London, Paris, Seville, and then Dublin. I was hoping to extend my trip, and work in a hostel in exchange for room and board, is this common. I have extensive travel experience, and currently work in a hostel. Thanks

My parents are going to see Cirque du Soliel and read in a guide book that they're supposed to tip the usher $20. That sounds just a little pricey.

I'm told that in general, most Japanese do not know how to speak English and cannot converse well in English with foreigners. I'll be going to Japan for my F&E holiday so I'm thinking if I need to pick up some useful phrases just in case I lose my way in Japan and can't get ready help because of the language barrier.

One thing which I find peculiar is, since Japan is undoubtably the most advanced country in Asia, why is the majority of Japanese monolingual? Aren't Japanese supposed to learn English apart from Japanese in schools? Or is it because it is a closed economy with strong cultural and national pride such that it does not feel the need for its people to be effectively bilingual?
