I've posted this question in 2 places beccause i dunno where to put it.

A group of friends and I wanted to go out to the city tonight. Our age groups range from 17-21 (yes...idk) and everyone wants to go somewhere we we can get drinks. Are there any cool places in the city that don't check for I.D.s?

I know this kinda is a bad question lol but...

It's best to not even try and get alcohol when you are underage. If one of the minors gets caught later being drunk then he/she will get in trouble and if they are caught in the bar then the bar will be fined thousands for serving a minor.

The NYPD has been cracking VERY hard on clubs and bars due to two high profile deaths that have resulted from encounters in such establishments. As a result, ID's are checked. Any bar that doesn't check ID's will be shuttered.

Fake ID? You could do that but you also risk a chance of getting BUSTED since using fake ID is now considered a felony.

If you have the 21 year older, maybe your best bet is to have that person get the drinks and hang outside somewhere. Though if you get caught, your 21 year old friend would be in deep trouble for buying drinks for minors.

It's tough, I don't agree with the 21 year old drinking law (if you can die at war, you should be able to drink a beer). However I do understand why it is, and it is a fact.

In NYC the bar owners are vigilant about this. I know of three possible ways around it. Know the owner and get a booth in the back, get into a club as part of the entourage with the band that is playing that night, or have really good fake ID. Other than that you are sunk (or should I say dry).

In your living room.

Seriously.

A liquor license costs a minimum of $15,000 (that's fifteen thousand dollars) a year to have in New York, and it's probably more in the city itself. NO "cool" place is going to put that kind of money on the line to entertain some kids. Not only will they be paying out the wazoo in fines, and court costs to fight to get their license back, but they'd also lose a large part of their revenue.
