No place can ever be as thrilling as the promotional videos, sorry. You see ever-grinning faces, lucky winners with buckets of quarters and spinning, winning wheels, happy laughing children and parents with big smiles.

Having been to both places, I have seen some winners, but more grim-faced empty pocketed losers still plugging the slots. I've seen vomiting, sick and dizzy children who are sugar-hyper and over excited from being on too many rides and seeing too much in a day. I've stood in the long lines in the blistering heat, coped with my tired, complaining children and my tired, complaining feet. I've paid the exhorbitant prices for food and souvenirs at the parks.

ALL that said, the shows and slots and rides and fun can be exciting and fun IF you prepare and do it with a plan. Don't bring more money than you can lose to Vegas. Give your kids a set amount for souvenirs, and stick to it. Decide which rides are the ones you want to do most. Pace yourself and don't get too tired out. Make memories, take pictures, and don't take kids too small to enjoy it.

Been to both. Epcot Center was more fun than Disney world. Disney is fun if you are a small child but for adults it can be boring and expensive. Just got back from Vegas. Depends on where you go there how exciting it is. They have some good clubs, good shows and its always great to win in the casinos. It really is the city that doesnt sleep since you can wander down the strip all hours of the night and see lots of people. They have clubs that actually dont open till 3 AM. You see people acting as they never would at home and its a laugh to watch how some of them dress thinking its sexy.
Nothing is ever as exciting as you see on TV.They only show edited scenes of the most dramatic things.

I've never been to Disney World but I have been to Las Vegas plenty of times.

It can be as exciting as what you see on TV..if you have lot's of money. And Vegas isn't just about being seedy. It is much more family friendly now...if you are looking for that. There is so much to do and see without having to spend all your time in the casinos.

Yes. Disney is magical. Vegas is cool...I wasn't in either one long enough to see everything. Disney has great shows..Vegas is a little dirty . You have to go to the Grand Canyon if u go to Vegas!! TV doesn't do either justice. Epcot in Disney is really nice.

Disney World is my absolute favorite place! I've been there 3 times and would go every year if I could afford it. You really have to be a kid at heart to enjoy it. As for Las Vegas, I've never been there and never will go. The commercials for it alone disgust me. So no thanks.

Disney world is ok for little kids. I mean about 7 and below. I went when I was 7 and it was great, but now I wouldn't go again. For older kids Universal is the way to go.

I wouldn't know about Vegas, but my parents went and LOVED it.

Disney is an absolute snooze fest. I went last year with my son and both of us were bored. And it's such a rip off.

Vegas is fun if you want to do something a little seedy..but it's nothing like TV really. It's interesting, and lots of things can happen. There is a lot to do as well.
