Depends on how fast you want your car back when you pick it up...
If you tip the valet employee while you are dropping your car off, they generally bump you to the front of the line for when you are picking your car back up. If you don't, you'll get your car back in the order they received the pick up tickets. (Sometimes is a pretty long wait.)
I would say you should tip no less than $2 when picking your car up. Whether you tip on the front or not is entirely up to you. (I tip $5 for drop off and $5 for pick up)

Almost all the travel guide books say $2 is standard for Casino valet parking. On the other hand, that's been the standard for years. I would think that inflation should have pushed it up to $3 to $5 by now.

I used to artwork valet parking interior the summertime time interior the hamptons, lengthy island, long island. it somewhat is how they worked it. the human beings who artwork for the valet enterprise make their money on tips, in the event that they are not getting a undeniable greenback fee according to hour in tips, they get a base from the enterprise that employs them (oftentimes 7 to eight greenbacks an hour) people who artwork valet do because of the fact they pick the guidelines. so please, as a former valet, tip generously.

For valet parking, the current standard is $5 when you get your car. More for exceptional service, i.e. puts your packages in the trunk or brings your car very quickly.
They probably make decent money in tips when it's busy. But remember, that's most of their income, and they hustle!

Valets is an average of $5
Bellhops, Skycaps and taxi drivers are the $2 per bag rule. I do tip more if the bag is unusually large/heavy or they bring my bags to the room quickly.

Lisa E. is right...$2.00 per bag is what most people should do. I have seen it on the travel channel and I have been to Vegas 13 times and Laughlin, NV once since June 2000; So i think I know what I am talking about......oh and look at my name...Mandalaybay 15... Mandalaybay is a luxurious hotel in Vegas....

3 or 5 bucks is standard whether you are a guest or not. If it is real hot ... a fiver is best. They run for your car, turn on the air and bring it to you with the air already cooling the car down. Best five bucks you could spend.

Give a dollar to everyone who helps you. The person who picks up your car, the person who takes your ticket, the person who gives you your car.
