Travel - 6 June 2007

We are looking into moving to Australia but I am finding it hard to decide which migration agent to use. I have been told in the past to use one based in Oz not the UK as generaly they are better. There also seems to be a big difference in the fees they charge.
Can anyone give us advice on how to chose a good one that won't rip us off?
Is it even worth using one, how easy is the process?
Any other advise or useful sources of informaton would be gratefuly received. Ta lots

As someone that has never driven in NYC, should I drive straight to my hotel in mid-town Manhattan and park or should we park somewhere in Jersey and take the train in? I drive in LA traffic just fine, does that compare to NY? We obviously will rely on public transportation once we arrive, but getting there is my main concern.

I'm 22 and i'm flyin with US Airways from Upstate NY to NYC then from NYC to Louisville Kentucky.........reversed on the way back......

i have only about 30-40 min for lay over time.......

I plan on going to Lazaro Cardenas, Michoacan. I just want to know if anyone knows anything about this place. Is it safe? How are the locals? I am half Portuguese and a quarter Swiss. My dad (Who is Portuguese) wants to get me a Portuguese passport but he's taking forever and I'm afraid I'll have to wait 2 years to get it! my mom has already spoken to the Swiss embassy so I will get my Swiss passport. My question is which passport is better to have? Since Portugal is a member of the European Community, won't I have access to most of the European universities? will they be less expensive? im going to Club faru in the north male atoll at the end of this month for 2 weeks and im off to plymouth university in september to study wildlife conservation, I have already worked in africa for 2 months with the environment and the wildlife and would like to do the same in the maldives as it would look good in my CV.

Does anyone know of any sanctuaries or projects that needs any volunteers?

Hi there im going to Jamaica in a couple of weeks and will be going to Montego Bay and Ocho Rios will also be staying at the doctors cave beach hotel and will be staying in the resort.

I just have one question to ask and that is i have heard that Jamaica is a country where people get harrassed alot buy people coming up and trying to sell drugs and other stuff and i would like to know does this sort of thing only happen outside the resort or does it also happen in the resort aswell.

Im not worried about this especially since i have expereinced harrassment by locals in Mexico and Egypt but it's just something i would like to know so i know what to expect.

I don't mind people coming up to me and trying to sell me souveniers but i wouldn't like drug dealers coming up to me and try to sell me drugs and i can't imagine such a thing happening in a resort because the resorts in Jamiaca have heavy security.

Anyways any info would be much appreciated.

My husband and I are seriously considering relocation. We've lived in the midwest our entire lives, same place forever. We're really interested in the desert - NO MORE SNOW! Can you make some suggestions as to what (suburban) areas or towns would be good to check out in Nevada? We love Las Vegas, but we don't want to live in a high crime area (obviously). We have job opportunities in Las Vegas (near McCarran Airport) but I'm not sure about that neighborhood - any input at all would be wonderful!

I am travelling in to London and want to know if there is any hotels near to London's Liverpool Victoria Train Station.
