I am half Portuguese and a quarter Swiss. My dad (Who is Portuguese) wants to get me a Portuguese passport but he's taking forever and I'm afraid I'll have to wait 2 years to get it! my mom has already spoken to the Swiss embassy so I will get my Swiss passport. My question is which passport is better to have? Since Portugal is a member of the European Community, won't I have access to most of the European universities? will they be less expensive? I also hear that the Swiss passport is very...powerful? Anyway, which passport would be better to have first?

Today there's no great difference. The Swiss passport is much more exclusive, of course, and even living in a European country, you would not experience any disadvantages.

On the other hand, Europeans (Union countries) living in Switzerland don't bother to get the Swiss passport as they don't experience any disadvantages here...

Best regards from Switzerland
