Travel - 4 May 2007

I'll be volunteering in an orphanage in Kenya in about 3 weeks from now and I need ideas for what to bring out for the people that run the orphanage and the kids themselves.

So far I have stationary, footballs, sweets but I can't think of anything else.

I have exactly seven days to tour manhattan and I really want to make the best out of it. Where are the best places to eat breakfast lunch and dinner? I love living in one of the worlds most greatest place but whats with the obsession of Australia?? i live in sydney and the japenese love it and when the americans come and i say G'day its like whoa! that chick just said g'day then they ask , where are kangaroo's?? it claims to be a $1600.00 travel voucher. The return on the envelope says "The Administrative Offices of RPR/OFV RECORDS DIVISION" in FT Lauderdale Fl. Inside is what looks like a voucher with ramada resorts, Imperial Majesty, Universal Orlando & Carnival the fun ships logos on it and it says open carefully verify name on documents and then call the 800 number. I don't remember entering any contests but i do stuff online like surveys and stuff. Anyone know if this is legit?

Im in UK - i want a 5* hotel im lookign at
turkey, sharm el sheikh, morroco, tunisia, -- you can get 5* hotels (except turkey) for good prices 40-60 a night - i wated to go to turkey as lots of sightseeing, food is cheap but hotels are too expensive im lookign to go in 2 weeks, however i can get a luxury hotel for cheap in sharm but theres not much to do as im not into diving and snorkling, i cant swim - help any ideas - luxury hotle, lots to do nice weather,

my cousins went to smile while taking their picture on their passport and they were told they weren't allowed to smile. they said it had to do with september 11th. i basically think its bullshit. but does anybody else know why they werent allowed to smile?? if anyone knows, please let me know! thanks:)

I will be travelling 15 hours by plane with my 17 month old who unfortunately suffers from severe food allergies to milk, eggs and peanuts. Due to this we have to bring our own food for him. What meals do you suggest to bring that is safe not to be refrigerated? Thanks.

Please answer ONLY if you've been. In Oct. of this year my hubby & I are going to Vegas primarily to see the NHRA races for 3 days, but also to stay a couple more days and see Vegas (we like slots but don't really play the other card/dice games). I know GN is older but we'll have a car, etc and I have read several reviews online which sound good. Anyone know first hand???? If it was a bad experience, was it just that you had bad luck or have you heard others say the same? THANKS.
