Find three people you would like to live with and rent an apartment. You'll split the rent, let's say three-bedrooms for $3600 a month. So you end up paying $900 a month rent. For Manhattan, you can't beat that.

No such thing as a cheap apt in Manhattan. Check out www.nyc.craigslist.org to find people to room with. Also, Queens is much cheaper

try craigslist
Try looking for an apartment in the outer boroughs, most probably Queens or Brooklyn. You can find generally affordable places in nice neighborhoods close to Manhattan

ok.. go to craigslist.org and pick NY.. and sublets /temporary.. Great prices.. i have rented ... ummmmm.. about 5 times.. and got the best rates.. and the most beautiful apartments... also rents rooms... and vacation time..
