Hi everyone! I am moving South and am so far unfamiliar with the best areas to live in East London? There is a ton of places to rent in places like Bow and Bethnall Green and I was wondering which would be the better one for a young professional?

Hi all- I might get trashed for this, but I think overall, New Yorkers are unfriendly, rude and uptight. It is understandable that they are rude, because they have to deal with so much people and stimuli all the time- but rude nonetheless. I am a Californian who just moved to NYC and always feel like most of my interactions with them are cold. I think it is easier to actually talk to people on a daily basis here, but that is just because there is an overflow of people in the streets. I am sure they can be nice once you get to know them, but I feel like it is hard to tear down that barrier. Please comment away.

I took a quick look at the listings of driving schools but a lot seem to cater to truck drivers and such. The few that did offer car lessons were about $40/hr, beyond my price range.
I am willing to bypass a school and pay a qualified teacher if necessary

I live on the East Coast where it is currently 10 degrees (Ugh!!!). I am going to San Diego this week where it is in the 60's. However, in Palm Springs, it is almost 80 degrees. I was thinking of driving to Palm Springs just to lay out in the sun for a day. Am I crazy?? I really just need to feel the sun on my face for a little while. LOL - Seriously, if you were to do that, where would you go? Are there any parks where I could lay out in the sun for awhile? Thanks :)

I'm a 23 year old single guy, moving to San Diego this August. I'm torn between living in the Mission Bay area and Downtown San Diego...

Is the Mission Bay area too young for me? Is it all just college kids or are there a lot of post-college people as well?

Is downtown any fun during the day for meeting people and just having a good time, or is Mission Bay better for that?

The two apartments I'm choosing between are: The Pacific at Mission Bay, and 600 Front Apartments (near the gaslamp quarter)...

Does anyone know anything about these apartments? And how far a drive is it between Mission Bay and Downtown?
Thanks so much everyone.

P.S. - I'm moving from New York City to San Diego, and I've always dreamed of moving to California since I was in high school. Is San Diego as chill and laid back as I imagine it to be? Is it easy to meet people there? (I'll be working from home and I don't know ANYONE in California)
