I will be travelling to Bangkok in Jan 2007. Recently, word has it that the weekend market, Chatchuchak, has been closed. It seems like when they tried to air-condition the place, a fire broke out and they decided to close it.

As my purpose for visiting bangkok is to shop, i am rather anxious about this new development. Hence, please please be a kind soul and help confirm whether this rumour is true.

hi.yipeeeeeeee only 24 hrs before i go to nycccccc..yeah.. am real exciteddd.!!.anyway...have these new cases with alock on them ..so obviously am wanting to lock my cases... but after reading some of the info on the web.. when traveling to usa they advise against locking yr case as all cases are screened.so if they needed to get in yr case and i locked it would they just bust it open??.or am i best just leaving it unlocked??...also i managed to find baggage requirements but cant seem to find any idea of what size or weight yr allowed for yr hand luggage am flying with virgin.. does anyone know?? thanks
