YOU will NEVER find a hotel at American standards for a cheap price in all of India ... if u want to get a nice hotel you have to shell it out about $125 per night ---- India is a beautiful country

I recommend the Elphinstone Hotel. It's a small 'family' hotel on Dadabhoinaoroji Road, right opposite Handloom House, Colaba. I always stayed there and was always very comfortable. Once I forgot my passport (under my pillow) I telephoned them and they posted it to me in Kerala!! You cannot say better than that!!
