I'm a college sophmore and a first-time international traveler planning to head to Prague sometime next year. I've done quite a bit of research on the Czech Republic, but no information can take the place of actually, being there. Feedback please, if you will.
What technology is in use? (Are there computers? Internet access?) Can I use my credit card? Which [card] is most recommended? Or should I bring cash? If so, where should I go to get it exchanged? What's the legal system like? What offenses am I protected against? What might I do that could be considered an offense? What is the most prevalent language? Second most? Are there many English-speakers? How is the transportation system in comparison to US transit? What is considered impolite during dining? Is there a certain hand to eat with or an order in eating and drinking? What is considered unacceptable attire for women? (Jeans, T-shirts, hats...?) Is smelly stuff okay (i.e. lotions, perfumes)? Etc. Many, many thanx : )

I know an American who traveled to Germany recently, and someone asked him if he was ashamed to be an American right now He answered with, "No, I'm proud to be an American. Immigrants are fighting to get in my country, not out." He then asked the man if he was ashamed to be a German, after what the German's did to the Jews during WW2.

I have three weeks vacation coming in Decmber and would love to find some place nice, warm and sunny to go. I can't stand these cold Canadian winters.

I've been to New Zealand and love it there -does anyone know of any great deals there?

I am open to all your suggestions thanks.

I live in Sydney, and I'd like to go interstate for a week in Christmas. My parents have agreed to take me somewhere, my choice, but we have to take my little brother too (he's only 20 months old), and we'd have to take a car seat.

It's a debate between Perth or Brisbane, but my parents are leaning towards Brisbane, because they say Perth is quite boring, I'd rather go somewhere slow and quiet though. Sometimes, Sydney is a bit too much.

I have relatives in both states, but I'd really like to go to Perth (I have cousins I want to visit, but don't want to use that as my reason). I've been to both states before.

My parents are really touristy, and want to take me to Brisbane (to go to the beaches, Movie world etc.) but I'm not a sunbathing beachy type person, I value my pale skin, and if I go the Movie world, etc, I'll have no one to go with.

What do I say to my parents to subtly convince them to take me to Perth? (Reasons why Perth is a better tourist destination)

So, I have no problem getting in pics with the characters that are 'fuzzy' and in suits, but I have never gotten in a pic with a face character because I'm the shy girl, and I wouldn't know what to say to them, and I feel too old.
But, I really want a pic with peter pan and perhaps a few princesses.
Any adults ever go to Ariel's grotto to get a pic with ariel?

Other than forced conversion, genocide, slavery, and the destruction of any culture that gets in its way?

No scientific discovery, no art, no music, no literature, no beauty.

This 'religion' is based on the racist, sexist, twisted ramblings of a psycopath 'warrior-prophet.'

The beach is obvious. ...

I'm more interested in things like the best restaurants, shopping etc. I also like reptiles. Are there any reptile stores in the area worth checking out? Thanks in advance.

My BF is from Medway - home of the Chav.

Chatham High Street seems to be a Mecca for the breed. Burberry caps, big gold earring, pushchairs and scrapebacks everywhere you look.

We live in the South Wales Valeys and I'm originally from Newport, Gwent. Home of the Goldie Lookin Chain, need I say more. I really think Newport should be twinned with Chatham as they are equally chavvified!

Which do you think are Britain's Chavviest towns? And why?

What is it like? Are there no cars there at all? It's just hard to imagine the entire city on water.
