Well, I imagine they would have signs. Also check any search engine for Singapore informative sites, like travel sites, and go there. There may be an email addy for you to write to. Otherwise leave the smokes at home or take a chance, the choice is yours.

1) Once you touch down in the airport - look for 'Smokin Rooms'
2) When taking public transport - Only outside of MRT stations / away from bus-stops.
3) When shopping in malls - only outside
4) At coffee shops - only in designated smoking areas (prepare to crowd around too)
Or during the month of October, just take a deep breath, we owe our neighbour for the free for all smoke..... Enjoy ;)

You cannot smoke in public in Singapore because it is illegal. In your own hotel room, certain bars or other places where it is advertised to be ok would be acceptable.

You can smoke anywhere, as long as there's no 'no-smoking' signs. In general, air-conditioned & confined spaces are no smoking areas - shopping malls, offices, subway, public transport etc. Think it's now extended to 'public places' too - bus stops, taxi queues.
