I'm traveling to Bangkok with my mother in November for medical treatment; we are planning to go to hospital in Bangkok. My mother cant walk much same times we need to use wheelchair for her, We went to Bangkok few years ago and it was very difficult for her in the airport we did not take a wheelchair with us and she had to walk, for the next 3 days she was in bed and couldn't move. My questions are: 1- should we take a wheelchair with us from home? It's not difficult for her here in Dubai airport because we use the VIP entrance and she don’t have to walk, from the car to the plain.
2- Can we rent wheelchair in the airport for her in Thailand or buy one would be cheaper?

I read in Frommers about a 19 (point somtehing)% city tax on goods in Paris and am curious to know if this applies to our hotel stay on an upcoming trip; We will pay for the hotel when we arrive and would like to be able to factor the cost of any taxes into the cost of the trip. My daughter is 8, she's into reading, barbies, dinosaurs, cartoons, drawing etc. We've been to disney and were looking for a destination for spring break next year that possibly wouldn't be as pricey. We love Gatlinburg, TN. also but we go there quite often. Any ideas?

....ok, here they are:

1) What part of England would you suggest for two 19 year old
American females and why do you suggest it please?

2) Is it very difficult for an American to get a job in England? I don't mean some fancy job, but like working in a shop or something...anything really (short of illegal of course).

3) Are there many cultural differences between (southern states)Americans and Brits?

I have been to three other countries (France, Switzerland, and Italy) but never to England and thats a place I've always wanted to go....so thank you for your help!

...lives in or near, heard of or visited Persia IA. I used to live there for like a year. This is just kinda a poll. I've never met anyone (besides other people that live there) who have ever even heard of it. It's a VERY small town with a population of only about 360. There are only like 5 stores and it's pretty much smack-dab in the middle of a corn-field.
