You can go without getting caught if you do 2 things; don't go thru from regular places like Cancun and Bahamas. I know Cancun has video cameras showing you getting off and then going on to the states.

The second thing is; when you come back from Cuba, overnight at the place for at least 1 day or fly back to the states from a different airport; then they are last apt to catch you.

You will not have anyproblems if you do it through Cancun or Nassau because for not to much in the airport they will not check your passport if you pretend to continue to Cuba, then you can expend great holidays in Cuba without problems, but anyway bielive me now the usa goberment is a little bit quite with this situation. Many Americans go through Canada as Cubans LOVE Canadians. I recommend not telling the Cubans that you are American,wear a Canadian sticker or put one on your luggage.

It depends where you live. If you are close to the Canadian border, we have lots of relatively cheap flights from either Montreal, Toronto or Vancouver......
