My boyfriend and I are both 20 (we won't be 21 until November) and we want to go somewhere for two nights (July 21st and 22nd). It's our first vacation together in our 2.5 years of going out but every hotel or motel we've looked at says it doesn't take reservations from anyone under 21. We were originally planning on Virginia Beach, but everywhere I e-mailed or checked their website (about 30 places) said we had to be 21. I know Wildwood, NJ has "senior week" and stuff and takes reservations from anyone over 18, but is that only during prom season? I e-mailed another 10 or 15 places in Wildwood about 4 days ago and NOBODY has gotten back to me yet.

Do you know of any decent hotels near a beach that accept reservations from people under 21? We don't want to drag a 21 year old friend out with us just to get the room for us, they all have work or other commitments.

We live right outside Philadelphia if that helps. And we're looking to spend under $130 or so per night if possible.

I'm Canadian and work at a call center where I get calls from Americans and I have been asked the silliest questions about our country. One lady was TOTALLY amazed that we had our own money and that the queen is on it. Anyone have funny stories? Please nothing hateful I'm just curious.

I'm going to Italy in about a week and I was wondering how long it would take for a letter to get from Italy back to the U.S. I'll be there for.... 10-12 days, so if I send letters on the first or second day, will the recipients get them before I return home?

I was in Europe a few months back and used RyanAir and the total for my flight from London to Venice was .79 Euro each way. The total purchase came out to about 35 Euro after taxes. But still 0.79 euro?? That's ridiculously cheap. A comparable flight in distance in the US would be Los Angeles, CA to Dallas, TX and that would cost anywhere from a low of $200 up to $600 roundtrip. Southwest Airlines' Ding feature has some cheap fares but nowhere near $40/roundtrip for anything. Even a SF to LA flight, which is one of the cheapest, shortest and most frequent flights, runs $70 at the very cheapest. Help me out here. How is RyanAir so cheap? What is wrong with the US Airline industry? Imagine flying from LA to NYC for under $50 roundtrip. This is the way flying should be.
