I am getting ready to participate in a couple of triatholons, and although i can complete the swimming portion of the race, I don't set any speed records doing it. Are there any tips for endourance swimming that i should know?

The alkalinity in my in ground pool (25K gallons) is very high. It takes 20 drops in the tester to produce clear test. I've already bought a new tester. My ph is normal. How do I lower the alkalinity without also lowering the PH too much? I have to add acid but won't that also lower th PH too much?

i lived in a place with no lakes, ocean, so i've been pretty lazy learning to swim in the past, but i decided to learn it recently. I can do breast stroke and all the beginner stuff, but i would like to learn how to freestyle. are there any tips on how i can improve this, such as drills or such?

I am 5'1/2", 112 lbs and I'm about 36(b cup)-25-35. My torso (from shoulder, across fullest part of bust, between legs, and back up to my shoulder) is 59 inches.
I need a flattering swim suit that is best for competitions and for practises. Our school colors are red and black, and I'm pretty sure it has to be a one-piece.
I'll spend a maximum of $50 I suppose.

Ok, no offense to you swimmers! A friend of mine does not eat lunch, and often does not eat breakfast, she says that she doesn't eat because of swimming. Help me understand this. I play tennis, and I do not starve my-self. Is it a weight thing? What is it?

I am an intermediate swimmer...but I really want to challenge myself to an Open Water Race. Can anybody help me if you know any training resources? I know the Los Angeles Marathon provides suggested training schedules...is there any similar resource for Aquathlon, or swim race?
