You get sick from bacteria or a virus, not from rain or cold. The reason so many people get sick when it's rainy or cold out is because they're cooped up together indoors. Germs and bacteria get passed between them more quickly. The rain won't make you sick. Just don't do it during lightning strikes.

The only 'danger' could come from the fact that rain is associated with cold weather, so if your pools not heated, or you hung around at the side to long you 'could' theoretically start to suffer from exposure. The risk of that as long as you're sensible, and don't decide to do a Mary Poppins after you get out the pool and just go and dry of straight away you'ld be fine. Colds are viral as mentioned previously, so your risk out swimming is actually less than cooped up inside with your family. But do watch out for lightning though obviously.

I can't imagine why it would matter whether the water comes from the sky or the pool; if you're soaked, you're soaked. As long as there's no lightning associated with the rain, go ahead and swim. If there's lightning (or thunder), then you shouldn't be in a pool, no matter what the weather.

Swimming while it's raining isn't going to make you sick. You don't "catch a cold" due to the weather or being cold - colds are viral.

Well, you just have to make sure you don't catch cold...which, in extreme cases could lead to pneumonia...but other than that, if you are warm enough, go for it...
