I am an intermediate swimmer...but I really want to challenge myself to an Open Water Race. Can anybody help me if you know any training resources? I know the Los Angeles Marathon provides suggested training schedules...is there any similar resource for Aquathlon, or swim race?
Thanks.

Also, check with your local triathlon or multi-sport club for local open-water practice sessions.

My biggest piece of advice is to know the area you are swimming in. Practice there and practice your sights ahead of time. Be aware of the water, the currents, the tides, the conditions, the temperatures, the creatures that live there, the regulations surrounding swimming there, etc.

Good luck and enjoy!!!

you are able to desire to swim pass slowly and breathe each and every 2d stroke and dont pass rapid. according to danger attempt to bounce fairly extreme each and every stroke to get extra air. DONT kick heavily.....positioned on your conventional kit yet verify it wont fall off you or that your goggles gets foggy....stable success and dont supply up because of the fact 3 km is torture.....
