i'm 15, and i;ve decided to join the track team for my high school this spring. i used to be a VERY good runner when i was younger, and i was wondering if anyone could help me out and give me some tips on what i should do at the gym, or wherever, so i can get caught up with the rest of the kids. I'm thinking of doing the sprints, and the shorter races. thanks so much!

Hi. In track and field, do team members each have a specific event they participate in or does everybody do all the events? Pardon my ignorance.

I noticed in the recent completed Asian Games in Doha that many women athletes wore the 2 piece attire when they ran on the running tracks. Yet, surprisingly, all the male athletes and some women continue to wear the traditional clothing when they ran on the running tracks, ie, T shirts and shorts. Some are even tightly bounded by their clothings.

What was some women athelete chose to wear the 2 piece while the rest of the athletes wore the usual conventional clothing? What were they hoping to achieve?

I'll be coaching boys and girls high school and junior high track and field. It's been a reallllly long time since I did anything like that, so I'm looking for suggestions, ideas, drills, things to practice, how to decide who runs what event, anything at all that can help us out. Oh by the way, we don't have a track at our school. Yeah- fun I know. I appreciate any help and thanks very much for your time

I need to get some shoes this weekend for track. Just for practicing in. We will be in the gym so not the shoes with spikes, just a simple and low-priced running shoe that is lightweight. I need a easy brand to find because i need them pretty quick. I don't know much about track. Also my foot has been sore from something for two weeks, i am not for sure what i did, but i need some ideas of some kind of support for it. Ace Wrap only made it hurt worse by adding pressure on it. So any advise on shoes or foot support for my foot would be great, thanks!

My mom has one for her nano that keeps all the stats of her running/walking such as steps taken, distance, etc. It is like a chip you put on your shoe and it sends the info wirelessly to your iPod. But, I have only been able to find it for the nano, do they make it for the iPod video?
