When I was 5 and 6 i took gymnastics. I didn't stick with it, though, and then I seriously got involved in dance. Now, I STILL dance, but I thought it might be fun to conquer my dislike of gymnastics and actually try it.

But, the problem is, I'm afraid I'll get stuck with the little kids because I'm behind all the poeple my age. I am determined to put my pride aside and just go for it, but i could use a litle encouragement... and help with some simple moves i should know when first entering gymnastics. Thank you all so much!!

Try this scenario...
On Saturday I go to football (soccer) training, in Saturday aftenoons I have a rugby match In the evening I have a drum lesson. Sunday morning I have a soccer match, followed by a lawn bowls game. In the evening I compete in the triple jump and long jump for the county., followed by another drum lesson in the evening. It is tiring me out! I have been offered a contract at Colchester United FC, a contract at Saracens RFC and I have been offered a call-up to the Ireland squad for a junior bows match. I am also potential Ireland international level jumper. I can't possibly do all four. I need help choosing which one (two max) do take on porfessionally and which two to drop. Please bear in mind that I am 15 and need to make a decision soon.

When I run, my ears start to get blocked, and I can't hear anything besides my own breathing. I need for them to "pop." Is there anything I can do?

I'm not saying athlete, because it is debatable how athletic golf actually is, but just as a pure competitor, a winner.

Isn't it time to start mentioning his name with the likes of Jordan, Montana, and Gretzky?

I met a few years ago, was in downtown Philadelphia when I met them, even got a shirt signed by some of them, that was really neat. Not looking for nasty, harsh answers, please, just curious if you have heard of them and if you ever saw them live. Thanx.

I want to start running, but I give up when I get close to a mile because I get winded. I have tried starting walking briskly, then runnning and alternating. I walk about 2-3 miles daily, or bike and roller blade, but I don't seem to have stamina in my lungs for running. Also, I am not running as fast as I can.

Is this common for beginning runners? What do you recommend?

alright,,, i love to dance, its my passion, ive been doing it all my life, and im not gonna lie, im pretty good at it... but the only thing is that i keep hurting myself...ive popped both my knees out of their sockets (ouch!) and torn a ligament in my leg for which i had to have surgery, and and sprained both my ankles...the doctors and my dance coach both say that its because i am getting older, so i guess that means im more 'fragile', but i dont know if all the pain is worth it to keep pursuing dancing....help!

I'm 5'8", 150 lbs. I go to the gym every other day and perform various exercises such as supersets and cardio afterwards. After sunset everyday I do at least 20 minutes of running. I try to build some muscle mass while trying to lose some fat. I know you need to have a lot of protein in your diet to build muscle mass. My question is whether I have to have a lot protein only on those days I go to the gym. I still have protein everyday, just not in the extreme amounts my body needs to build muscle. Is there really a difference when having a little protein on my rest days and having a lot on my gym days? Should the protein intake be consistent each day or should the intake be adjusted based on workout? Any insight into this would be greatly appreciated.

Were talking overall athletic ability, you cant just basketball players cause they can jump higher or hockey players cause they can skate better. No biasness either.

There was an article in the NY Times in their "Play" magazine, "Going Long. Way Long." It was about running shoes for marathon training. Although, I am not a marthon runner I do jog.

The shoes mentioned in the article are:
1) Spira Genesis II
2) Asics Gel-Kinsel
3) Adidas Adizero RC 2
4) New Balance RC550
5) Rebook Trinity KFS

Are they any good...for my purpose? I only plan on running under three miles, but my feet get tired and I don't want to hurt my joints.
