It's the coach's choice.
Keep in mind, coastal carolina may not have a lot of track scholarships to go around. If there aren't any availible, the coach will have nothing to give you.
Talk to the coach, find out what times they generally give scholarships for and what they do with walk ons.

most likely not. However the coaches can typically help answer that. Try contacting an assistant coach first and going from there. If you walk on and become a key person on their team they will most likely offer you some assistance in an effort to keep you there.

Some do, schools get a set number of scholarships, and if you do get one, it'll be the next year before you do, because there will be athletes ahead of you that will already have gotten one. When they leave school, you'll get one.
