Best athlete: Michael Jordan, repeatedly a winner, visually amazing to watch and enjoy in his prime, only minor issues in his personal life.
Runner Up Best Athlete: Wayne Gretzky, won the Cup multiple times. Like Jordan, a ferocious competitor who looked like a man playing against boys while in his prime - absolute magic. Also like Jordan, a gentleman away from the game. Obliterated virtually every NHL scoring record of significance.
Worst athlete: Barry Bonds, has squandered his legacy and embarrased himself and his family name with obvious juicing in the latter years of his career. Would have been considered one of the 20 greatest baseball players of all time without artificial assistance. Now you can't even think his name without thinking of his obvious excessive usage of illegal substances.
Runner Up Worst Athlete: Mark McGwire (disgraced former home run king).

the worst athlete is no one who plays sports professionally. it would have to be the worst so called golfer in the world!
