Some commercial fisherman has stated that Great White Sharks were eating their catch about 60 - 90 miles off shore from the Panhandle of FL. Thank you.

1) So my mile time is 5:26..best sophmore time at our school I think. I wanna drop it to like 5:00 or 5:05 would it be possible for this to be done around the time school gets out next summer?

2) Cross country racing questions.
I. best place to pass someone
II. best way to start the race (get in front? follow the leader? sandbag it?)
III. whats the best way to race it? (e.g. gradually speed up, get extremely far ahead and then take it easy, blow everyone away at the end?)

She is a competitive gymnast. 2 yrs ago she had miniscus surgery. The first hyperextension was to the other knee, but now she has hyperextended the surgery knee twice in a month. She is very commited to her sport, training 16-18 hrs a week. She insists that the pain is only mild, but it is hard to tell, because she knows that if she is in pain both the coach and I will make her rest . What should she do? Once you hyperextend, are you more likely to do it again?

I have been running for many years now. I started running and continue to do so for myself. I usually do around 5 miles and have gone up to 13. I am 27 and in great shape. I feel that running a marathon will give me a sense of achievement to treasure for the rest of my days. However, I am 6'3 200 lbs. and I'm not going to lie to you, even with great shoes I get very sore in the joints of my legs after running anywhere over 5 miles. Marathons are very, very stressfull on the body and I'm trying to weigh the pros and cons. I don't know what 26+ miles would do to my body, any suggestions wise people of Yahoo!Answers?... (I am fully aware of the training regime involved with a marathon, I'm just looking for experiences and opinions)

I joined yesterday and we had a warm up of a mile and then did like 10 laps and a cool down of a mile again. I was surprised at how out of breath I got. I had to take alot of breaks because although I wanted to keep going I just couldn't. Today my thighs are so sore. If it wasn't for the support I got I probably would have left but I don't want to quit. Any advice to getting better?
