Have a friend drive you to a big, empty parking lot. Learn to start the car moving in first gear without touching the gas pedal, by slowly letting out the clutch pedal and playing it to keep the car from stalling or jerking. You'll buck it and stall it a few times, but if you get the hang of it, you can move on to shifting between gears. The rest is pretty easy.

You push the clutch in, then you put the vehicle in gear, then you let the clutch out until you feel it start to grab. When it grabs, the vehicle will start to move and the engine speed will slow down. If you let the clutch out too fast you'll stall the engine. So when it starts to grab you give it more gas, and let it out a little more, giving it enough gas to keep the engine running. Then when the vehicle starts moving you take your foot off the clutch. When you want to stop, you'll have to push in the clutch, because if you don't, the engine will stop when the vehicle stops. If you put the transmission in neutral, you can let go of the clutch.
