My boyfriend had the same thing. He says he was able to run in about 2 and 1/2 weeks. He suggests keeping it light at first. (he also said that your doctor will tell you to wait longer though.)

Been there with both. Take your sweet old time building those muscles very slowly. I wasn't slow enough. Tore the wall of the umbilical for the third time recently and got a second inguinal under the first repair. Umbilical is no longer repairable.

Unfortunately,I did not do the surgery--I can't give you an answer. It is never a good idea to come on line and ask a medical question. Especially after surgery...If someone said they ruining a week later--would you? Only the man/woman/robot who used the knife can answer that question.

i wouldnt..at least for 10 to 12 weeks and then slowly build up..tore mine running 2 years after op going for a bus..

I had a triple 6 years ago, I had to wait 6 weeks to ride my bike and hike.

I would wait at least 12 weeks and then start slow and gradually work up to my goal.
