I'm a Leaf's fan, but here's why I think Crosby is better:

Crosby has 14 more points even though he's played 5 games less and even though Ovechkin has 140 more shots than Cosby! Ove is such a hog! He's worried more about his stats than his team.

Crosby is +11 and Ove is a friggin -14!

Crosby has 4 less penalty minutes.

Crosby has a better shot percentage.

Crosby is an awesome playmaker whereas Ove doesn't setup plays like Sid the Kid.

Crosby's team has 10 more points than Ovechkin's team.

Crosby's team has beaten Ovechkin's team more.

Sid has more sick goals!

The only reason why Ove has more goals is because he takes so many shots. Hell....even I could score that many if I took those many shots! Ove has the most shots in the NHL!

It would be interesting to find out who has more minutes of ice time this year.

Sid is Canadian, Alex is Russian :) nuff said!

Sid is going to the playoffs, Alex is not!

My two best friends are twins and both really into sports. I have two tickets to the buffalo sabres game at the end of february, really good seats too. I dont know which one i should bring. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to decide. I want to bring one of them, i dont want to ask anyone else.

I think hockey is so much better than it was before the strike, yet people say Bettman has ruined the game. The funny thing is more people are paying to see the so called crap that Bettman has created. I think the only thing that the new NHL has hurt are the TV viewers. I think for a short term deal having hockey on versus makes sense right now since they are paying more than greedy ESPN, but in the long term the NHL will lose new fans.

It kills me when i see someone writing about how all the buffalo sabres fans are bandwagon fans. Who are you to say that we don't even know whats going on in the game? Just because buffalo is passionate about the sabres, doesn't mean we are all idiots who don't even know what an offside is. They are doing great, and we love to watch them. AH it just kills me when someone assumes that we are ALL bandwagon fans.

Lets have a vote who would rather it be like the NFL and a team should have to contest a goal or call they do not like.
Should they lose a time out? Should they be assessed a penalty?
Should they limit the "going upstairs" to only 1 per period? 1 per game? Should the team that calls for a review be assessed a minor penalty if they are wrong?
In my opinion it takes away from a fast game to wait for what seems like forever for a play under review.

Let's face it. When you follow your NHL team on the road, there are some arenas/cities that you really don't want to go visit, but you have to because your team is playing them. So which NHL arena/city/team do you think is the most intimidating for the traveling away team fans?

Is it Philly and the Wachovia Center?
Is it NYC and Madison Sq. Garden?

Or is it another city/arena that you've had personal experience at?

Is it true that the fans NY Rangers and Islanders once had a massive brawl at Shea Stadium during a Mets game? I think it was during the late 70's or early 80's. I'm trying to document all the incidences of documented fighting between Rangers and Islander fans.

What was up with the fans at the game yesterday against the Penguins? I've never seen them act so classless before this game.

First off they booed the refs for every single penalty called against the Habs! I think that we can all agree that some of the refs are terrible, but to boo every call is a joke in my eyes. Most of those calls were legit, and its kind of sad to have to resort to booing! If anything you should be booing the player commiting the penalties!

But thats not even the worst part! You people actually started chanting "FAKER" after Sidney Crosby got high sticked in the face and fell down??? Which didn't even get a call by the way! He must really be a good faker to make himself bleed afterward, right? I would think that Canadiens would embrace him as their own, but I guess I was wrong there! It must just be jealousy, because we have him here in Pittsburgh and you dont!
