What was up with the fans at the game yesterday against the Penguins? I've never seen them act so classless before this game.
First off they booed the refs for every single penalty called against the Habs! I think that we can all agree that some of the refs are terrible, but to boo every call is a joke in my eyes. Most of those calls were legit, and its kind of sad to have to resort to booing! If anything you should be booing the player commiting the penalties!
But thats not even the worst part! You people actually started chanting "FAKER" after Sidney Crosby got high sticked in the face and fell down??? Which didn't even get a call by the way! He must really be a good faker to make himself bleed afterward, right? I would think that Canadiens would embrace him as their own, but I guess I was wrong there! It must just be jealousy, because we have him here in Pittsburgh and you dont!

Shiloh have you ever seen Sid do an interview before??? He is pure class, he never complains after the games. I gotta say though, if someone smacked me in the face I WOULD fall down and so would you! I also guarentee that if any of you got a face full of stick that you would also b*tch about it!
It's funny how you bring up the "one of 20 guys out there" garbage! It's funny he didn't feel that way when Armstrong leveled Koivu??? Nothing else to say? Didn't think so...

yeh that game was a tad ridiciuolous, the pens gotta hire themselves a bodyguard for crosby, look at ovechkin, he doesnt get cheap-shot, butt-ended or high sticked, and do you know why? his name is donald brashear.

I was really....something to see. I couldn't believe it. To call him a faker was really ridiculous and I've lost respect for Aaron Downey. How IS a star player supposed to act when he takes a stick to the face? Seriously, there's room for agitation in the league, but you don't agitate then do something stupid like high stick, then run your mouth again. I'd like to see anyone on any team shut him up with a good cheap shot to the face and see if he doesn't go down. Then again, when Ribiero was showcasing his acting skills, the Canadiens didn't have a problem. Personally, I don't like my habs diving, high sticking, whatever. I'd like them to play clean and appreciate skill, but I guess they won't.
I just hope on March 16th that Brooks Orpiks doesn't pull a Cole on one of the Habs' best players. I'd rather see Crosby get some revenge on Downey and have it a non-call. But then the Montreal media would be all over Crosby calling him a whiner and that he's immature for having a hissyfit on Downey. Crosby is no more a faker or whiner than Ovechkin.

I think the Habs' fans are the most intense in the NHL and it is great to see a city get behind their team. But, when I have watched the Canadiens play at home, I have witnessed more than their fair share of calls go their way. I think refs are scared to call penalties against them because they'll boo. It's one thing to boo a bad call, but be realistic and accept that penalties are going to get called against your team. Don't worry, I'll still boo the Penguins when they're playing in Kansas City, Missouri of all states. You too Hab's fans. Your team hooks and high sticks more than any team in the NHL.

Adam A-----the Orpik incident last year was a joke. Cole turned away from the hit and Orpik didn't deserve the suspension
Shiloh------ Plz watch smoe hockey before you come here to talk smack on Crosby...hes targeted by every player in the league and gets cheapshotted every night.
But to answer the question, ya those montreal fans were rediculous. Who just shakes off a high stick (cough..penalty..cough) to the face?

Hey man its like the coach said - when the game starts, Crosby is just another player on the ice. He shouldnt' get special treatment and he should start turning into a man and stop crying and complaining. He is also lacking some class lately and he does embelish his falls. I never saw Wayne whine and complain like he does. Welcome to NHL Sid.
