He never played for the Devils. He first played for the Oilers where he wore No. 32, and was then traded to the Sabres during the 96/97 season. He then switched to No. 81, as Rob Ray already had No.32.

I am unsure what you guys are talking about since Miroslav Satan's career records show he has played for the Oilers, Sabres, and New York Islanders. Never with the Devils, my friends.
