For new gear at that price you'll have to buy street hockey gear. Really, there is nothing wrong with buying used gear. Almost every set of pads I've owned have been used. I'm using great conditioned pads now that I paid $700 for on ebay. If I bought them new I'd have to pay around $1,400. I'm actually selling a glove and blocker set and the bidding is at $35 on ebay right now that are in really good shape. If you want to stay off of the internet, Play It Again Sports is your best chance.

Considering even the rec league goalies I know regularly pay $1100 to $1600 for just their leg pads, I think you're out of luck. Would you try and buy a new bigscreen TV for $5? Some things just cost more money.

***** Sporting goods has a "street hockey" goalie set for $99.99 but it has the same equitment as a ice hockey set, it has leg pads, a chest guard, and more.

I would go to Play It Again Sports because you can trade in any existing equipment you have and maybe the difference will be that elusive $200 figure. Good luck.
