Well these are the memorable dynasty years with each team winning 4 consecutive cups with the exception of the 56-60 habs who won 5:

1919-1927 Ottawa Senators
1947-51 Toronto Maple Leafs,
1950-55 Detroit Red Wings
1956-60 Montreal Canadiens
1962-1967 Toronto Maple Leafs
1965-1969 Montreal Canadiens (there's a gap here no cup in 67)
1976-79 Montreal Canadiens
1980-84 New York Islanders

and then there are others who have won 2 in a row:
Detroit Red Wings in 97 & 98
Pittsburgh Penguins in 91 & 92
Edmonton Oilers in 84 & 85, 87 & 88
Philadelphia Flyers in 74 & 75

It goes on and on there are lots of teams that have won back to back cups

Many times. The Islanders won it four times in a row in the '80s. Edmonton had a run (can't remember if it was before or after the Islanders) of four. Detroit has a number of back-to-back titles from the '30s, '40s, '50s, and of course the '97-'98 back-to-back titles. And I'm sure that the Habs(Canadians) have a number of repeats in there history (most titles with something on the high side of 20). It just hasn't happened very recently because there hasn't been one dominate team.

5 Montreal.
Trombass O is wrong. The Islanders won it 4 times in a row and
got beat out the next year by Montreal the only team to win 5 years in a row. Edmonton won 3 in a row, lost and won again another year. Montreal 1956-1960 inclusive.

Lots of times. The Detroit Red Wings did it last in 1997-1998. Then again in 2002.
