Wait, is it just me or is everyone completely tripped out? Eldren, I think we are talking about things that are in no way related unless I'm somehow mistaken and we're talking about Canada or England or something that is not the WCHA, as in one of the top college hockey conference in the country. Because if we're not, just tell me, and I'll stop now. Otherwise, if we are, seriously, where do you people come up with this stuff???

As for your question, it's a little ambiguous, so I'll answer it two ways. Is there a WCHA playoff, or rather, a conference tournament? Yes. The link I included gives a little information about the Final Five which is the second phase of the tournament after five of the 10 teams have been eliminated. It goes March 15-17. Alternatively, will you be able to watch the Final Five? I doubt it. It depends on where you live, TV access, etc. I know that the Frozen Four is broadcast on ESPN and ESPN 2, so you've got that to look forward to.

I think that it will happen in time. The WCHA is growing and support for hockey is also growing throughout the west. I think what would really give the WCHA a good kick in the pants is to get some major support from 4 to 8 universities to try to eliminate the "club" aspect from their teams and start providing a little bit of funding. Even without scholarships, it could cause a major change in the world of hockey as we know it.
