I have a pretty fair-sized collection, and I'm curious to see how it compares to others. Do you have particular favorites in your collection.

I'd like to see some others' thoughts, and then I'll give a few of my favorites.

I got thinking about this after reading Cait Murphy's book about the 1908 season, which she considers the greatest. Which year would you say was the greatest, and why?

I'm looking for something more than "2004 because the Sox won!" or other such homerisms. Great pennant races, milestones, etc. - what makes your choice great?

A silly debate I had with a coworker. Which is more of a "perfect game", a game in which the pitcher strikes out every batter on 3 pitches or a game in which a pitcher retires each batter only on one pitch?

I root for the Yankees ´cause they are the closest team to my house and they are a good team. I live in Sweden so I think that the Yankees are the closest team to my house.

I need your thoughts on this one. I had recent phone calls on my birthday today from my friends saying the royals can be a better team this year than last year. If they be a better baseball team they may go on to the world series if lucky win the world series.

The Red Sox are World Series champs. The Patriots are on the cusp of a perfect season and a shoo-in to win the Super Bowl. The Celtics are about to raise their 17th banner above the parquet.

Even the Bruins (remember them?) are a legitimate Stanley Cup contender if they can get their sh** together (and hopefully Bergeron will get healthy before the playoffs).

Could Boston become the first city in American history to go 4-for-4? (plus let's not forget the Revs, who almost won the MLS Cup last season).

I feel as though Boston is on top of the world right now. Everything is going our way (and the Yankees have never sucked as much as they have in the last 8 years). = )

) and some prospects and including there remaining good players(Lance Berkman, Carlos Lee, Hunter Pence, Roy Oswalt, Ty Wigginton). Do you think they could be contenders for the NL central title

I am talking about stats like IP, K's, SO's. Seems like there are more injuries too. I thought roids were supposed to make you recover faster but the pitchers of today sure dont have the stamina of pitchers before 1980.

I know that we still have a lot of work to do, but Dayton Moore definitely has us headed in the right direction. I believe that reaching the playoffs by 2010 is totally doable. What does everyone else think?

I'm a huge baseball and football fan, but I just can't get into basketball/hockey. I find myself overwhelmed in Sep/Oct with 2 sports and bored to death in Feb/Mar.

If the NFL season started right after the WS and the SuperBowl was in late March, it would be perfect. Anyone else with me?
